Child Protection Consultant Expert

**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced consultant to support UNICEF ECARO in designing and implementing the European Child Guarantee (ECG) Learning Lab (LL). The ECG LL aims to accelerate ECG implementation in 5 EU countries, advance preparations for ECG adoption in 7 accession countries, and strengthen UNICEF's positioning and technical leadership in relation to accompanying governments in design, implementation, and monitoring of the ECG National Action Plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support ECARO and country offices in Croatia and Romania to design and put in place the ECG LL.
- Document ECG implementation in EU and pre-accession countries and position UNICEF with the European Commission and other stakeholders.
Expected Outcomes:
- A fully functional ECG LL that supports the successful implementation of the ECG in the EU and Western Balkans.
- Documentation of ECG implementation in EU and pre-accession countries that informs policy decisions and strengthens UNICEF's positioning with the European Commission and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree in international development, human rights, social work, sociology, or another relevant social science field is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in relevant fields, including knowledge of the European Child Guarantee and EU accession process.
- Demonstrated experience of producing high-quality reports and other documents to specified deadlines.
- Good analytical skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English (oral and written).
