Chief Accountant Leader with International Expertise

Job Description

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join ALSO as a Chief Accountant, playing a crucial role in the company's finance team.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to lead our accounting team in Emmen, Switzerland. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, be highly organized, and possess a deep understanding of financial regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the work of subordinate accountants, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Calculate CIT statements accurately and on time, in accordance with regulations.
  • Prepare VAT-7, VAT-UE, and VAT-27 returns, GUS, NBP reporting, and consolidated financial statements.
  • Cooperate with control institutions, tax administration, external and internal auditors, and other stakeholders.
  • Analyze variances and postings in the system, reconcile balances, and book documents.
  • Classify transactions in the book of accounts, responsible for month and year-end closing processes.
  • BUILD GOOD RELATIONS WITH GROUP COMPANIES AND COLLEAGUES.
  • Assess contracts for tax purposes, optimize accounting processes, and introduce changes in the Company.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Team Leader or Chief Accountant in a similar position.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of current accounting regulations, VAT, and CIT taxes.
  • Proficient in English language.
  • Deep understanding of GL, AR, AP, R2R, P2P processes.
  • Experience with SAP accounting systems.
  • Very good MS skills knowledge, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in optimizing accounting processes.
  • International work environment experience.
  • Ability to manage a team, assign, and account for tasks.
