Postdoctoral Researcher Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at D-BAUG - IBI - CEA. The successful candidate will be involved in conducting innovative research in urban planning, life cycle assessment, and circularity measurement within the built environment.
About the Role
- The researcher will develop and implement tools and methodologies to assess and enhance circularity in urban planning and architectural design.
- They will manage and coordinate activities related to Horizon Europe grants, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance with EU regulations.
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across ETH Zurich and international partners is essential for advancing project goals.
- Publishing research findings in high-impact scientific journals and presenting at international conferences is expected.
- The researcher will contribute to mentoring and supervising PhD students and technical staff within the lab.
- Assisting in proposal writing and securing additional funding for future research initiatives is also a key responsibility.
Your Profile
- A PhD in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Architecture, Computer Science, Environmental Sciences, or a closely related field is required.
- Proven experience in life cycle assessment, sustainability metrics, and circular economy principles in urban environments is essential.
- Demonstrable experience in managing EU-funded projects, particularly Horizon Europe grants, with a thorough understanding of financial and administrative processes is necessary.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in relevant software tools for environmental assessment and statistical analysis are required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is vital.
