Senior Director, Head of Quality Control Operations

This position is based in a beautiful town, where you will lead the Quality Control (QC) Project Lead team for Mammalian Business Unit. As the Head of QC, you will be responsible for providing leadership to your organization and ensuring a robust and reliable product supply to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee departmental budget and generate agility and flexibility from within sub-teams.
- Manage departmental performance and quality metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop an effective and cohesive teamwork, fostering close collaboration with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
- Drive a lean mindset and establish mechanisms to execute continuous improvement initiatives in line with plan.
- Develop strategy and plan to ensure Capacity are fit for demand (short-, mid-, and long-term).
- Anticipate delivering on strong stakeholder expectations in a matrix environment.
- MSc or PhD in Life Science Biochemistry/Biotechnology with significant work experience in the GxP controlled Biologics/Biopharmaceutical/Pharmaceutical industry.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in leading bigger teams (> 20 FTE) in a matrix environment.
- Strong problem-solving and scientific project management skills, with experience in applying Lean methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of QC lab operations and requirements of GxP Regulations and guidance of Health Canada, US-FDA, EU, particularly data integrity and various compendia (USP, EP, JP).
- Eager to drive results and mobilize teams and stakeholders, with effective communication skills for various stakeholders.
- Change management experience is a strong advantage.
- Fluency in English is a must, communication skills in German are an advantage.
