Senior Microbiology Process Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Microbiology Process Specialist to join our team in Bern, Switzerland. As a key member of our Quality Assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of microbiological quality and sterility assurance in our manufacturing processes.
Job SummaryIn this exciting role, you will provide expertise in contamination control, aseptic processing, and sterility assurance. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing microbiological expertise for cleanroom environment and purified water systems routine testing programs
- Collaborating with the Qualification and Validation teams to ensure the appropriate performance qualification (PQ) of cleanrooms and utilities
- Ensuring that new manufacturing processes or process changes meet biocontamination control principles and sterility assurance requirements
- Supporting the execution of Quality investigations related to contamination control issues as a subject matter expert
You will be responsible for achieving harmonized and compliant processes on site, training and qualifying operators on current procedures and best practices, and supporting the site during audits and inspections. Additionally, you will set contamination control KPIs and metrics and ensure that new manufacturing processes or process changes meet biocontamination control principles and sterility assurance requirements.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of a bachelor's degree in microbiology, biology, engineering, or an equivalent pharma discipline. You must have at least 3+ years of experience in a GMP environment, preferably in a pharmaceutical or similar regulated industry, with detailed knowledge of relevant regulations and standards. Your expertise should include microbiological quality and sterility assurance, contamination control for manufacturing processes, and cleanrooms environments.

This job based in Bern, Switzerland will initially be limited to approx. 12 months with possibility of an extension.
