The Position
We are looking for a skilled optical microscopy specialist to join our team at the Institute for Human Biology (IHB). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing training and support to researchers using cutting-edge optical microscopy techniques. Your expertise in fluorescence microscopy and its application to biomedical research will be essential in helping us advance our understanding of human biology and disease mechanisms.
- Collaborate with researchers at the IHB to design and execute optical microscopy-based assays and experiments;
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our microscopy technology platform;
- Participate in ongoing projects and contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches;
- Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing within our team and across the broader research community.
Key Qualifications
- PhD degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field with a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in fluorescence-based optical microscopy;
- In-depth knowledge of optical microscopy techniques, including widefield microscopy, confocal microscopy, and light-sheet microscopy;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with researchers from diverse backgrounds;
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions;
