Bioprocess Engineer Team Lead

Lonza, a global leader in life sciences, is seeking a highly skilled Biologics Team Lead to join our Buffer Production Team in our unique biological manufacturing and development concept. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and coaching a team of bioprocess engineers, focusing on manufacturing processes and related activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a team of process engineers, overseeing all aspects of human resource management, including qualification, development, coaching, hiring, pay decisions, and discipline issues.
- Implement the Lonza culture by promoting openness to change, new ideas, cooperative teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure the execution of all production campaigns in the manufacturing unit, adhering to safety, quality, and delivery standards.
- Serve as the first point of contact for production issues in the manufacturing unit, following common escalation guidelines.
- Collaborate with MSAT, Production Support, QA, and production teams to provide expertise in solution finding and troubleshooting.
- Represent the operational area in customer meetings, audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or a related discipline.
- Working experience in biotechnical manufacturing.
- Proficiency in MES and DeltaV systems.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to interact with various interfaces within the organization.
- Strong team orientation and a structured, focused working attitude.
- Business fluency in German and/or English.
