About the Role

The Project Management Officer at Alstom plays a vital role in managing the complexities of project tenders and execution within the railway sector. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a multilingual environment, engage with diverse topics, and contribute to environmentally sustainable train refurbishments that align with climate goals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Project Support: Assist project managers in planning, executing, and closing projects in compliance with Alstom's standards and SBB quality requirements.
  • Tender Management: Support the preparation and submission of tender documents, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and commercial requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, budgets, and reports, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Track project progress, preparing regular status reports for stakeholders, while identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Coordination: Facilitate effective communication among cross-functional teams and stakeholders; organize project meetings, workshops, and reviews.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet high-quality standards, customer expectations, and environmental regulations, supporting the green agenda of train refurbishments.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of project management processes, kpi and templates

Requirements

  • Master degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • First experience in similar position is an advantage
  • Interest in Railway Industry / Railway Transport Segment

Competencies & Skills

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project).
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Multilingual proficiency (e.g., French, German) is highly advantageous in a diverse region like Suisse Romande. German language B2/C1
