Senior Manager, International Medical Affairs

We are searching for a highly motivated, insightful, and resourceful individual to join the Medical Affairs International team. The Senior Manager, International Medical Affairs is a highly visible and impactful role and will be instrumental in supporting and leading Medical Affairs activities for our commercial product (ripretinib) at European level and as point of contact for the distributors and Partner Markets, in alignment with the Global Medical Affairs Scientific Director (dotted line report).
It is a unique opportunity to shape the landscape and the organization for Deciphera and grow alongside the company as it develops. The role reports directly to the VP, Global Medical Affairs, with a dotted line to the Global Medical Affairs Scientific Director of ripretinib.
Supporting the leadership of a supra-regional medical function. This role will include two order of responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Global Scientific Director, in alignment with the other functions involved in the development of the product (Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory, Compliance, etc.) to bring the medical footprint, offering a key contribution to the pre-launch and launch phases in the different geographies;
- Providing high-quality, deadline-driven scientific support to Partner Markets, ensuring alignment and collaboration across key functions (e.g., Commercial, Market Access, Finance, Compliance, etc).
What You’ll Do:
- Support the development of the Medical Affairs Plan for ripretinib in alignment with the Global Scientific Director and other functions.
- Provide tactical support to the medical affairs activities in the covered region.
- Act as scientific and medical review expert.
- Provide medical expertise in all regulatory, early access and reimbursement approval processes.
- Ensure high scientific level and deadline oriented support to the Partner Markets, in alignment with the other functions
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with the medical teams of our Distribution Partners to foster a strong, cooperative network.
- Share annual global medical strategies and in-market insights with Distribution Partner medical teams to ensure an understanding of key medical priorities and activities for the coming year.
- Ensure legal excellence and compliance in all medical activities as per Deciphera’s SOPs and local regulations.
- Promote Deciphera’s values.
What You’ll Bring:
- MD or bio-science background (PhD)
- At least 5 years in Pharma industry, with experience in regional functions, lateral move, or experienced Medical Manager
- Previous experience in Oncology or Rare Disease
- Mobile, willing to travel (approx. 30% work in field)
- Hands-on, ready to create a medical footprint of Deciphera in the assigned area and beyond
- Strong communication skills, open style & pro-active
- Languages: English; any other language is beneficial
