The If Foundation (https://if-foundation.ch/ ) is a Swiss, independent and not-for-profit foundation. The Foundation’s work is driven by a spirit of empathy and solidarity for those in need and distress. IF has a global reach and provides multi-year grants to organizations working across 5 thematic domains: education, economic inclusion, health, social inclusion, and mental health. The Foundation is active in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East with approximately 70 active projects across the thematic domains. The Foundation is seeking a highly motivated individual with a long-term vision to manage and monitor portfolio partners and projects supported by the Foundation. The Programme Manager will join a small team that works independently and collaboratively to due diligence and manage projects. He/She will be under the direct supervision of the Foundation’s Director in the due diligence and management of a number of projects supported by the Foundation. Key responsibilities Managing the Foundation portfolio projects/programmes : - Supporting IF portfolio partners in the management of their projects - Analysing progress reports of a number of partners in the IF portfolio and reporting on their achievements and budget allocation and use - Assessing disbursement requests in accordance with IF performance parameters and requesting the disbursement when all conditions are met Board and other meeting preparation support - Conduct due diligence on a number of prospects twice a year. This process is conducted in parallel to project management tasks. - Assisting with the organization and preparation of the Board meetings, as well as other external and internal meetings. Supporting the communications tasks of the Foundation - Research and report on specific thematic or geographic issues/contexts - Represent the Foundation externally at conferences, seminars, workshops and bilateral meetings and/or via written communication - Prepare official communication to the Foundation’s grantees and stakeholders for internal or external consumption Profile - At least 10 years of work experience in philanthropy and/or the non-profit sector across advanced and low-income countries - Experience and expertise in managing, assessing and/or designing Mental health programmes in Europe, Africa, and/or MENA region is essential - Experience manage studies, research projects and clinical trials would be helpful - Fluent in both French and English is required, Arabic is a bonus - Relevant Bachelor and Master level degree or equivalent - Expertise in monitoring and evaluation frameworks and financial analysis is essential - Excellent communication and writing skills - Excellent IT skills (Microsoft excel, word and power point, Zoom and Dropbox) - Ability to work independently and within a team - Excellent organizational and prioritization skills - Highly motivated, adaptable and accountable - Street smart, with a pragmatic and logical approach to all situations - Result-oriented, proactive approach to solving problems creatively and quickly - Trustworthy and loyal, with a high sense of discretion and confidentiality - Positive attitude and able to take feedback - Friendly person with a sense of humour Conditions: a valid work permit for Switzerland is required Compensation: TBD Office location: central Geneva (home office is also an option part of the time) #J-18808-Ljbffr
