Purpose
Within the People and Culture Division, the People Manager will manage and implement Human Resources regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines. Provide expert HR advice and ensure that policies and regulations are known and applied fairly and consistently, enabling equal opportunities and inclusion. Manage and oversee the team responsible for payroll, HR administrative support, data management, social security and employee relations within the organization. Manage the Talent Acquisition process by developing recruitment strategies to attract and hire qualified candidates.
People Manager
Key responsibilities
- Manage the team composed of People Business partner and People Administration and Payroll officer.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures in compliance with Swiss employment laws and regulations.
- Optimize HR processes through process (re)design, automation, system integration, third parties contract management and improve HR operational efficiency. Ensure HR processes and regulations are followed consistently and correctly and in line with relevant policy.
- Provide advice and guidance to staff members and managers on swiss legislation and employee relations matters. Stay up to date with changes in Swiss employment laws and regulations, and proactively make recommendations to ensure full compliance.
- Provide assistance in identifying, monitoring, and supporting Employer of Record agreements. Monitor and analyze HR analytics and employee relations data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement and provide data-driven insights to support the People’s Team initiatives and decision-making.
- In collaboration with the P&C Head develop and implement innovative and comprehensive talent acquisition strategies to attract top talent.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interview coordination and offer negotiation. Partner with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and develop job postings.
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics to measure the effectiveness of talent acquisition strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement in alignment with the organization and Gender Equality and Inclusion Policy.
- Oversee the HRIS, manage systems updates and ensure that accurate and up-to-date employee records are maintained.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations when handling employee data. Manage and prepare audits related to the the HR area.
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to help create an inclusive work environment.
Requirements
- Higher education (University or HES) supplemented by a “Brevet spécilaliste HR” or equivalent.
- Minimum of 7 years of previous relevant work experience in a similar role.
- Fluency in French & English, both written and oral; fluency in an any other language spoken in affected countries an advantage.
- Expert knowledge of Swiss labor law and social security, as well as knowledge of international payroll.
- Comfortable with common IT tools (MS Office, ERP HR).
- Excellent project management, analytical, planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to coordinate simultaneous activities/projects.
- Effective writing and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in multi-cultural settings with a wide range of stakeholders.

May be required to travel occasionally up to 10%
Salary Information
Please note that the salary level for this role is CHF 120'776.- yearly gross, subject to social security deductions and income tax. The GICHD applies a progressive salary scheme The compensation policy is currently under review and is subject to change. This is an open-ended contract.
