Job Description:

A private family is seeking an experienced and dedicated Cook to join them at their summer residence on the picturesque Île de Ré from August 1st to August 21st, 2024. The candidate will be responsible for preparing lunch and dinner daily, managing grocery shopping, and providing table service during meal times.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and cook lunch and dinner daily, ensuring high-quality and varied meals.
  • Accommodate any dietary restrictions and preferences of the family.
  • Manage grocery shopping, including creating shopping lists, selecting fresh ingredients, and maintaining pantry inventory.
  • Serve meals at the table, providing a pleasant dining experience for the family.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food preparation and storage.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • EU passport or Valid Swiss Work Permit
  • Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in a private household or high-end restaurant.
  • Strong culinary skills with the ability to create diverse and delicious meals.
  • Excellent knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Good communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the family's schedule and preferences.
  • Proficiency in French is preferred but not required.
