**About the Role**

Swiss Re is transforming at every level to embrace data, digital and product in all aspects of its operations, whilst building strong client relationships around the world. The company is seeking to appoint a new Global Head of Tech Strategy & Performance to play a lead role in defining and driving the future digital and data strategy (DigiTech).

Strategy and Innovation Management:

- Develop the Group DigiTech vision and strategy in close collaboration with the Group and business units leading on the technology, security, and data aspects
- Drive focus, accountability, and results to achieve the long-term aspiration of becoming a tech and data enabled organization
- Own tech trends and innovation management
- Be the thought leader on DigiTech strategy internally and externally
- Deep understanding of DigiTech and business areas alike

Performance and Portfolio Management:

- Manage value creation with overarching monitoring and proactive portfolio management (e.g., portfolio oversight, platform harmonization, cloud transformation)
- Oversee engagement execution by leading DigiTech-wide goal setting, monitoring of progress, risks and benefits realization
- Drive insights into the DigiTech performance and provide recommendations for productivity opportunities

Enablement:

- Coordinate and organize cross functional events/initiatives (e.g., Tech days, townhalls)
- Support GDTO Divisions in their daily and regular tasks like communication, preparation of internal and external presentations, updating of internal communication channels, etc
- Support teams with process coordination / any cycle specific work and stand-in for EAs when out

The Global Head of Tech Strategy & Performance will act as an inspirational leader, nurturing and supporting the team to deliver new technologies as well as building a cohesive “one team” mentality and culture. **About You**

You are an excellent leader, with experience of having built high performing teams and of having delivered a change in mindset and culture. You are able to demonstrate a blend of strategic thinking and vision with a track record of delivering complex technology projects and programmes through others, adding measurable business value. You are recognized for your world class communication skills, ability to communicate complex IT concepts and strategies in clear, business focused language which will engage and enthuse senior individuals inside and external to the company.

In addition you:

- Have a track record of strategy development and execution, understanding what is needed to partner with the wider business to realise the Swiss Re vision.
- Extensive experience of portfolio management: adept at creating a best practice delivery environment
- Possess significant impact, gravitas, and credibility; at ease at the highest levels. Intellectually able with strong relationship management capabilities (grounded in “having been there and done it”) with colleagues and business stakeholders.
- Knowledge and experience of Agile and DevOps methodologies and principles.
