We observed that across the healthcare ecosystem, a vast amount of digital healthcare data is being generated, fueled by technologies such as next-generation sequencing ("NGS"). This data holds promise to accelerate our understanding of biology and disease. However, the data has remained siloed and complex and has not been fully leveraged for the benefit of patients.

We are hiring for a new role **Head of Technical Infrastructure and Site Reliability Engineering at our HQ Saint Sulpice, CH reporting to the CTO**.

As the **Head of Technical Infrastructure & SRE,** Reporting to the CTO, you will be in charge of the infrastructure (cloud and on premise), databases, network (VPCs, IPSec VPN, Layer 3 & 4 routing), observability and monitoring (SRE), incident management and ensuring security (all layers of the stack, patching, vulnerability scanning, IDS/IPS/SIEM).

Our platform is a one-of-a-kind globally distributed information system that brings together hospitals and labs to provide data ingestion and processing, analysis, and modeling, reporting and intelligence, distribution and sharing of a multitude of complex sources of structured and unstructured data, including genomics, imaging, and clinical data, delivered as a multi-tenant SaaS platform on the cloud.

You will build out expertise in Site Reliability Engineering, promote DevOps methodologies and focus on automation to improve operations. You will own the tools and initiatives for scaling the systems we support, optimizing performance, and improving the reliability and availability of our systems. You will be working closely with the rest of the Engineering team and provide insight and visibility on production systems performance based on a solid Data driven approach.

**Key Role Responsibilities**
- Shape, manage, lead and mentor the team responsible for Infrastructure, Network, Sysops & SRE, Security implementation in collaboration with Infosec teams.
- Define and drive the roadmap and priorities to bring the platform to the next level and support business requirements and operation excellence
- Identify risks (infrastructure, network, security,) early on and ensure they are addressed before they become actual problems
- Organize the team and define related processes to achieve 24/7 support
- Work closely with the rest of the Engineering team to design and architect the platform and services, productionalize services through configuration management, monitoring, alerting, and documentation.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Support teams to plan and deploy product releases
- Identify parts of the systems and infra that do not scale, provide palliative measures and drive long term resolution of these incidents
- Drive automation to increase availability performance and reduce support demand within the Sysops team to reduce the workload by automation (Terraform, Ansible,)
- Perform and run blameless root cause analyses on incidents and outages aggressively looking for answers that will prevent the incident from ever happening again
- Keep up to date with trends and innovation in engineering, including containers and orchestration, serverless and other programming paradigms, microservices, etc.
- Sustain learning and knowledge sharing culture in the organization and aim at achieving a high level of technical excellence and stability.
