We observed that across the healthcare ecosystem, a vast amount of digital healthcare data is being generated, fueled by technologies such as next-generation sequencing ("NGS"). This data holds promise to accelerate our understanding of biology and disease. However, the data has remained siloed and complex and has not been fully leveraged for the benefit of patients.
**We founded SOPHiA GENETICS to change this.** We are unlocking data silos, leveraging artificial intelligence to generate actionable insights from data, and helping healthcare professionals work together as a community to deploy their collective expertise. **Our goal is to empower clinicians and researchers around the world to practice data-driven medicine and improve clinical and scientific outcomes.**

**We are hiring at a leadership level for the Technology team a newly created role, Director of Technology Field Support and Application Management reporting directly into the CTO.**:**
Requirements**
**Description of the ROLE**

Our platform is a one-of-a-kind globally distributed information system that brings together hospitals and labs to provide data ingestion and processing, analysis, and modeling, reporting and intelligence, distribution and sharing of a multitude of complex sources of structured and unstructured data, including genomics, imaging, and clinical data, delivered as a multi-tenant SaaS platform on the cloud.**
RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Pre-Sales Field Support: Genomics Business (and others in the future) pre-sales activities by providing technical consultation, advice to field force - Sales, SME and Consulting new & existing customer technology / IT teams on how SOPHiA DDM can best meet their requirements
- Post-Sale Field Support: In consultation with Architecture & Engineering, aligned with design patterns work out solutions to meet customer specific technology requirements to ease deployment. Follow up and coordinate across all technology sub teams on implementation and adoption
- Expected to travel and support various customer engagements
- Channel back request patterns into platform and design backlog working closely with product management.
- The role will require 50-60% travel to various customer sites, meetings, and presentations, primarily in Europe. **REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION and WORKING EXPERIENCE**
- Masters or Ph D in genomics disciplines or bioinformatics or related fields
- Relevant experience working with healthcare and scientific customers in pre-sales, post sales and customer success roles for technology and genomics platforms.
- Preferably prior experience working in bench in labs / research institutes
- Excellent level of English and multilingual in European languages preferred
- Excellent decision making, analytical, proactive, and problem solving skills
- Strong Organizational skills, interpersonal and influencing skills, and the ability to work independently.
