**Director RWE and Data Science Enablement (80%-100%)**

2.500 That’s the number of IT professionals working across all of Novartis sites all over the world As a Director of Real World Evidence (RWE) and Data Science, you will be enabling worldwide community to develop and drive capabilities that will embed and accelerate organizational execution of robust RWE across Novartis Oncology. You will bring an innovative mindset and fresh perspective to RWE opportunities while leading by example breakthrough results which inform business decisions for our products as well as support healthcare decisions by patients, physicians, health authorities, payers, and policymakers.

**Your key responsibilities**:

- Create transparency on evidence generation approaches and data assets globally and locally. Lead definition of standards and processes to manage quality, consistency, usability, security, and availability of data throughout the data lifecycle.
- Promote organizational alignment around RWE and co-lead a worldwide community to drive organic adoption of RWE capabilities across Novartis Oncology. Play an active and dynamic role in improving the interface between all operating functions and geographies and facilitate knowledge flow to enable sharing and development of creative ideas.
- Develop strong internal and external partnerships to promote effective collaborations. Lead by example in promoting a collaborative and entrepreneurial culture and mindset. Be an agent for change and engage support for innovative ideas and solutions.
- Communicate RWD study’s findings and value to internal partners, regulatory, health technology assessment (HTA) bodies and scientific communities; publish results; participate in external meetings and forums to present your insights (e.g. congress/conference).
- Work side-by-side with Regions/CPOs to identify relevant data gaps, prioritize data needs, develop and implement innovative solutions to close these, e.g., through collaboration models with third party networks

**Minimum requirements**

**What you’ll bring to the role**:

- Advanced degree or equivalent education/degree in life science/healthcare required. MBA or equivalent preferred and 5+ years relevant experience acquired at pharmaceutical companies, academia, healthcare provider / Payer / HTA, or relevant consultancy companies
- Deep understanding and experience of Real World Data/Real World Evidence or related fields to generate scientifically rigorous and value evidence from secondary data sources.
- Strong understanding of drug development with proven ability to identify and deliver key evidence needs for Clinical Development, Commercial, Market Access, HEOR, Medical, Safety, Regulatory partners.
- Experienced and with a strong knowledge of observational and/or epidemiological research methodology and statistical methods
