**Global Payroll Manager**:

The Global Payroll Manager is responsible for managing the ABB E-mobility global payroll processes via a global third-party payroll provider. This person will directly manage the outsourced payroll provider and a small, remote team of global payroll and HR administration specialists to deliver payroll across 17 countries. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of payroll and HR administration activities including payroll review, data accuracy, oversight of payroll administration processes, managing employee queries and overseeing the year-end audit preparation. Preferred locations - Europe (Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden)

**Your responsibilities**:

- Owns the end-to-end payroll process for all global employees in partnership with the outsourced payroll provider, manages relationships with the external global outsourced payroll provider vendor to process payrolls
- Creates an excellent employee experience through the development of self-service resources, proactive communications and by managing payroll and HR inquiries across multiple channels, anticipates, develops, and improves internal audit capabilities to ensure all compliance requirements are met
- Manages the in-house payroll specialists to ensure all data required for payroll submission deadlines are met and to ensure accurate and timely payroll submissions, works with the wider HR Team to ensure the timely and accurate processing of compensation and benefit transactions
- Manages the ongoing compliance for all regulatory obligations, supports overall organization’s internal control compliance requirements through adherence to key controls and timely completion of reporting
- Continually evaluates the configuration and optimization of the existing payroll processes and platforms, establishes processes for payroll, time tracking and HR admin that optimize for accuracy and scalability and ensures the successful onboarding of new companies/countries onto ABB E-mobility’s payroll platforms and processes through the development of a detailed M&A and integration playbook
- Responsible for all aspects of payroll including but not limited to detailed review of payroll submissions to third party payroll provider, partners with Accounting and Finance on payroll related reporting and reconciliations and assists with providing requests for the year-end audit
- Selects and hires employees as necessary. Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Work with direct report(s) to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff
- Complete ad-hoc analysis and projects supporting the HR or Finance teams and provide appropriate decision support information where required

**Your background**:

- Fully qualified Payroll professional along with a university degree or relevant professional experience
- Seven years of relevant experience, including a deep understanding of hourly, salaried, and global payroll practices (specifically in Europe, USA and China)
- Experience working in a global organization is preferred, with demonstrated cultural sensitivity, and experience dealing with multiple countries
- Two or more years of leadership/management experience and experience managing a global outsourced payroll provider (e.g. ADP) including implementing and on-boarding new provider/ payrolls/ countries
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, advanced Excel skills, superior written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, history of proven process improvement experience
- Strong work ethic - ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a demanding detail-oriented environment, self-motivated, time efficient and proactive with ability to work under minimum supervision, confident in dealing with customers and senior management, enthusiastic team player with desire to train/mentor, and willing to assist others where necessary, ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with all stakeholders
