Development Project Manager at Puregym Swiss

**Deine Herausforderung**
Through effective property project management and technical experience, delivery in-market activities that contribute to the successful delivery of new and refurbished gyms. These activities to include:
- Initial site visit to identify any key risks with potential acquisition targets and refurbishments and acquire the necessary technical information (e.g. structural details, hazardous materials etc) via landlords or external specialists to inform the nature of the risks.
- Facilitate the acquisition of any relevant survey information through liaising with landlords and external 3rd parties (e.g. acoustic consultants, structural engineers).
- Work with the Senior Development Manager and Acquisitions team to negotiate the necessary specification requirements with landlords, to agree who will be responsible for each element of the development.
- Work with the Senior Development Manager and Acquisitions team to gain approval for the fit out with landlords.
- Maintain engagement and active relationships with our Main Contractors and suppliers and highlight any local supply chain issues.
- Regularly monitor on-site progress through frequent site visits, providing concise and clear weekly updates, including highlighting any risks to delivering on time, to the relevant internal stakeholders.
- Ensure health and safety and other ESG principles are being adhered to and implement corrective actions where appropriate.
- Alongside the Architect(s), monitor compliance with our design requirements including technical elements (e.g. AC, Ventilation) and highlight non-compliance to the relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Input into the assessment of any variations raised by the Main Contractors, to inform the validity of any cost increases / savings.
- Ensuring approvals and consents are in place through effectively liaising with landlords and local authorities.
- Providing recognition, support and encouragement to your peers to ensure all team objectives are met.
- Ensuring a personal development plan is in place.
- Positively representing the Development function internally and being an ambassador for PureGym externally.
- Being recognised as someone who makes a significant contribution across the Development function.
**Dein Profil**
Highly capable project manager, with experience of delivering multi-site property developments (up to 30 per year) in large scale leisure, retail, hospitality, or rapidly growing organizations, consistently and at scale.
- A fantastic team player, able to work across a multi-disciplinary team to deliver exceptional results.
- Is fluent in either German or French, and in English.
- Able to ruthlessly prioritise and deliver to hit critical milestones, with the ability to develop different approaches to overcome risks and blockages.
- Has experience of building relationships and performance managing 3rd party contractors and advisers to deliver required results.- A highly capable operator, who can successfully resolve difficult situations and make critical decisions under pressure.
- Proactive, accountable, hands-on, adaptable and able to react quickly to a fast moving, ever changing environment.
- An excellent communicator with the ability to simply convey complex messages and influence at a senior level. A strong negotiator.
- Commercially astute, able to evaluate decisions considering member and brand expectations balanced with the required levels of return.
- Member focused, always striving to improve the experience for all members through own area or working across the business.
- Able to work cross-functionally, to bring together all parts of the business to deliver the right outcome for members and PureGym.
- Ideally holds a professional qualification in the areas of construction project management, quantity surveying, architecture or similar.
- Ideally educated to degree level and can demonstrate a track record of continual professional and personal development.
- Ideally has a passion for, or an interest in, fitness and leisure.
- Able to regularly travel within Switzerland.
