**Volunteering role**:

- This is a volunteering role
- Time commitment: Around 1hr/day or 5hrs/week
- Location: remote working

**Purpose**:
The Social Media Coordinator Volunteer works closely with the women++ Marketing team to create engaging content for women++’s social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook), following women++’s tone of voice and brand guidelines. The SM Coordinator maintains the social media channels up-to-date following the content calendar.

As part of the women++ team, your ideas and development are key Get to know the whole team and start discussing interesting topics around diversity & inclusion.

Tasks

What you will be doing

You will be in charge of writing and posting our social media content:

- Keep up-to-date with our social media calendar.
- Write SM captions and work with the graphic designer/marketing team to make sure the visual and written content align.
- Post/schedule the content in all social media channels adapting the format per platform.
- Community management: responding to comments on social media.

How your role will develop during your six months of volunteering

**Within three months you will be doing some of**:

- Within the first weeks of joining the team, you will receive an overview of women++ and direct training on your role & marketing guidelines to enable your independence & own voice.
- Be involved in our initiatives from a Marketing perspective.
- Help create and maintain a social media plan for 2023.
- Have bi-weekly meetings with the head of operations to discuss all social media topics, and weekly syncs with the marketing manager.

**Within six months you can develop in your preferred area**:

- Ensure that communication reaches a wide range of local stakeholders and diverse audiences: building awareness of women++’s work locally, and through relevant networks.
- Track the effectiveness of our social media work and recommend ways forward: test content and review its impact.

**Requirements**:
**First of all**: We believe in maximizing potential through training, learning and attitude. So, even if you think you don’t have all the relevant experience but are interested in social media marketing, you may still be the perfect person for this role. Overall, we look for:

- Commitment to diversity, interest in new technologies and the tech industry
- Strong communication skills (written and oral) in English, German is a plus.
- Experience in growth marketing, social media management and relevant areas desirable
- Ownership mentality, proactivity, reliability
