Volunteering role:

  • This is a volunteering role
  • Time commitment: Around 1hr/day or 5hrs/week
  • Location: remote working
Purpose


The Graphic Designer/Visual Content Creator Volunteer works closely with the women++ Marketing team to create visual content that aligns with the written marketing content and follows the women++'s visual identity and brand guidelines.

The Graphic Designer/Visual Content Creator Volunteer plans the visual content aligning with the marketing team and following the marketing calendar.


As part of the women++ team, your ideas and development are key Get to know the whole team and start discussing interesting topics around diversity & inclusion.

Tasks

What you will be doing

You will be in charge of creating visual content:

  • Following the visual suggestions from the marketing team, you will create visual content that best represents our written content
  • your ideas and creative flow are welcome : )
  • Plan the visual content in advance, following the marketing calendar and receiving feedback from the marketing team on time for posting.
  • Adapt the visuals to the different formats based on the communication channel of distribution: SM, NL, Eventbrite, Meetup, etc.
  • Create templates that can be easily used by the marketing team for similar visuals.
How your role will develop during your six months of volunteering

Within three months:

  • Within the first weeks of joining the team, you will receive an overview of women++ and direct training on your role & marketing guidelines to enable your independence & own voice.
  • Get an understanding of the different initiatives in 202
  • Have biweekly meetings with the head of operations to discuss all marketing topics and build a weekly feedback/ process flow culture with the marketing team.
  • Produce quality visual content aligning with the women++ identity and your own creative vision

Within six months:

  • Suggest improvements to our website/NL visual content and format.

Requirements:

First of all, we believe in maximizing potential through training, learning and attitude.

So, even if you think you don't have all the relevant experience but are interested in social media marketing, you may still be the perfect person for this role.


Overall, we look for:

  • Commitment to diversity, interest in new technologies and the tech industry
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) in English, and German is a plus.
  • Experience with graphic design tools. Experience with Canva is desirable but not required
  • Ownership mentality, proactivity, reliability
