Enabling Social Equity is one of the key strategic pillars of the Z Zurich Foundation. Indeed, we want to help create a society of equal opportunity, a world in which those on the fringes can step into the light, no matter their race, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, economic status, age or different abilities.

Our social equity programs are designed with the ambition of transforming people’s lives by working alongside NGOs, governments and businesses in service of a future in which everyone might thrive. To further respond to this growing issue, the Z Zurich Foundation is significantly stepping up its efforts aiming to positively impact the lives of millions of vulnerable people around the world. To support these developments, we are looking at an experienced partnership manager to drive multi-country partnerships with NGOs in that space.

**What you will do**

**Contribute to the Foundation’s Enabling Social Equity pillar**:

- Lead the implementation of the Foundation’s multi-country partnerships in the social equity pillar, starting with a new program to support vulnerable youth in 9 countries in Africa (see further details below)
- Ensure that the planned impact of the project is maximized and is delivered according to the plan
- Help to promote the Foundation’s social equity agenda within Zurich as a way to attract more employees into our work and increase our impact on beneficiaries
- Engage with relevant social equity and corporate volunteering experts and relevant business and functional teams in the Zurich organization to share experiences, identify synergies and opportunities for future collaboration/engagement
- Provide social equity input and expertise to the Foundation’s social equity strategy and high-level development plan, as well as other relevant groups within Zurich Insurance Group
- Contribute to increase impact of the Foundation in the social equity space by forming and entertaining a global Community of Practice composed of all existing partners we work with in the social equity space and the Zurich colleagues managing these programs

**Drive a multi-country Partnership in Africa**
- Overall management of this multi-country strategic partnership
- Ensure proper governance is in place to successfully define, execute and deliver on the agreed plans for this partnership
- Ensure sound impact reporting mechanisms are in place to track impact delivery in a regular fashion
- Drive the development and implementation of the Foundation University, a new online global platform to connect Zurich employees with volunteering opportunities and ensure they provide their best potential as volunteers to support those in need
- Represent the Foundation in the operational coordination group of this partnership and support the Foundation’s Head and/or Board Members in their participation in the steering committees of this partnership

**The position will be based in Zurich, Switzerland.**

**10% travel time expected.**

**What you will bring**
- 5-10 years’ experience in the social equity community-programming space, in particular educational-oriented programs
- Proven track record of building/overseeing global/regional philanthropic programs involving multiple stakeholders
- Proven track record of managing community programs in Africa in the educational/entrepreneurship space
- Proven track record in managing corporate volunteering programs, ideally leveraging digital tools to engage volunteers and beneficiaries
- Strong collaboration skills with an understanding and appreciation for regional and local differences
- Experience and comfort working within geographically distributed and functionally diverse work groups is preferred
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree is required. Advanced degree preferred
- Network in the humanitarian/international development field
- Experience with public-private partnerships
- Experience in managing external parties
- Strong writing and program development skills; experience developing original content based on message strategy
- Demonstrated strong communication and presentation skills
- Knowledgeable about using digital tools and resources to connect supply and demand in the most efficient way.
