About the job
As an International Area Manager, you will be responsible for a region (specific markets), and accountable for target achievement short term and preparing for the future midterm. You will do that by acting as a sparring partner to GMs and local teams in having a holistic business understanding and ensuring plans sufficiency. You will also advocate for markets in the in existing Central forums to ensure that HQ understands and reflects the commercial needs in the plans
.- Being a key partner for the Markets in Business Management drumbeat; Working together with the GMs of the Markets to ensure a holistic & actionable business review. Having a full, 360 business understanding and being able to analyze performance together with market teams, raising relevant actionable business insights. International Area Managers would also be supporting with market insights into the central business review forums.- Enabling business delivery with the markets, focusing on business growth by deriving effective action plans with the GM and the market lead team, based on the business insights, to grow topline and bottom-line through measures across all different areas of the Commercial plan (Distribution, Product, Brand & Communication, Omnichannel Retail Excellence)- Acting as a sparring partner to GMs and local teams, to help build and improve central plans by proactively raising challenges and input coming from the markets, to drive awareness and action from central teams- Helping markets identify underlying causes for low performing stores / areas of the business / Retail KPIs and constantly propose measures to improve.About you
We are looking for a unique and amazing talent, who brings along the following:
- University degree- Solid Business management acumen, previous min. 8 years’ experience in roles that include: commercial management or international area management, category or market business management- Strong lateral leadership, able to effectively influence and drive decisions at all levels of the organization and all functions- Data / fact based, analytical profile, driven by the natural curiosity to find connections and understand deviations, implications, trends, business meaning in numbers. Store back and customer back thinking- Excellent Stakeholder management, as the job implies working closely with the Chief Commercial Officer, Head of Market Management, Global Commercial Management and as well as will all other HQ teams (e.g. Omnichannel, Brand, Product, Controlling, etc)- Excellent English proficiency, presentation, and communication skills, capability to clearly summarize findings, draw actionable crisp insights from a high volume of 360 information
