Lonza in Visp is undergoing a massive transformation. With the carve-out of Arxada and the strong growth especially in Biologics the focus of the site is moving from Chemistry to Biotech. Moreover there is a constant challenge to increase efficiency following lean principles. The services and infrastructure provided by the Services & Infrastructure teams need to be regularly reviewed to ensure they are fit for purpose, addressing the requirements of the Divisions in line with benchmarks and best practice.

The Associate Director Site Development is responsible to define and implement dedicated programs on site, hands-on from start to finish. In this role the incumbent will manage senior stakeholders up to EC level, lead the project team and ensure successful implementation of program goals and realization of expected benefits. Based on respective certifications and experience the incumbent will also be responsible to further embed lean principles in the ways of working of the organization.

Key responsibilities:

- Identify areas of improvement and drive alignment of priorities together with senior stakeholders incl. EC representatives or Site Leadership Team Visp.
- Prepare program delivery based on a thorough analysis of As-Is Situation and current challenges and define clear scope, targets and overall business case embedding cross-functional/ divisional requirements.
- Ensure successful delivery of program objectives actively engaging and managing various project team members through influence (not line) and embedding change agents across impacted departments.
- Prepare and lead Steering Committee updates and decision requests and proactively raise risks or bottlenecks to the required stakeholder level.
- Manage dependencies, assure alignment and drive synergies with other local or global programs & initiatives.
- Embed Lean standards in ways of working and throughout project methodology.

Key requirements:

- University Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Sciences
- Fluent in both German and English (mandatory)
- Proficient in Project and Program management with senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and good understanding of Data Analysis solutions (e.g. BI)
- Ability to navigate successfully in Matrix-Organizations
- The position is located on-site in Visp
