**Electrification Business Research Manager**:

Location: Global, with a preference for EU countries. Lead research in the core technology areas relevant for Electrification Business by coordinating global and local resources in the development of new concepts, technology, technology platforms, and intellectual properties. The role will report to the Electrification Chief Technology Officer.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Define strategic research direction together with the Business Lines and CTO and ensure the creation of the global technology roadmaps and project portfolio for the global research topics. Coordinate global research activities and ensure alignment.
- Build and maintain a culture of innovation and actively seek new opportunities and solutions. Facilitate partnering between the Research Centers and business Lines to ensure appropriate requirements are included in the strategic technology roadmaps.
- Set project targets, oversee execution of technology road maps for the electrification research, and ensure achievement of research performance targets. Ensure appropriate project planning and execution and solve prioritization issues together with the Research Centers.
- Support and oversee transfer of technology and knowledge between the Corporate Research Centers (CRC) and internal partners.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with global and local research community, network with universities, and support local marketing and promotional activities.
- Ensure appropriate legal contracts for IP and licensing of technology.
- Ensure financial planning and budgeting for the Electrification research. Monitor ongoing progress against financial targets and define action plans where necessary. Manage global resource portfolio. Prepare global resource budget for Electrification Research. Define and agree resource and skills plan with local CRCs.

**Your background**:

- 15+ years’ experience in Research or R&D and experience in electrical distribution or related industries
- MS in Engineering discipline required; PhD preferred
- Familiar with core EL technologies: switching, sensing & electronics, power electronics, materials, manufacturing processes, software
- Innovative thought leader; outstanding communicator
- Able to connect research to Division strategic needs
- Effective project portfolio manager
