The incumbent is expected to lead the analytics team and use tools to design and develop operational reports and analytical models including advanced techniques such as forecasts, simulations, and optimizations to draw conclusions, identify options, and deliver recommendations.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Establish Supply chain Management Analytics Strategy by collaborating with stakeholders involved in managing our company’s supply chains to understand and support global priorities, adopt and shape methodologies and define best practices.
- Lead, coach and develop the analytics team.
- Support realization of value and sustaining activities that seek to embed analytical tools within business processes and establish standardized work.
- Leverage new and existing tools/methodologies and data sources to support analytical projects and oversee the work necessary to prepare data to support the development of information models to prove or disprove project hypotheses.
- Partner with Business Technology to ensure Organon’s new Enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform supports current and future analytics needs.
- Promote a culture of analytics as a differentiator and competitive advantage - an environment that places high value on using information in real-time to make fact-based decisions.
- Remain current with industry best practices and trends, identifying experimental opportunities that advance the use of analytics at Organon.
**Education Minimum Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in technical field (Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Computer Science/Management Information System (MIS), Business, Economics, Finance/Accounting, or other scientific field).
**Required Experience and Skills**:
- Five (5) years of relevant work experience (Analytics, Technical Operations, Supply Chain Management, Plant/ Operations, Manufacturing Operations Distribution Logistics)
- Knowledge and experience with information systems supporting supply chain activities (e.g. SAP IBP and S4, Hana, MES, LIMS, Trackwise, etc.) combined with an understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations (SCOR model).
- Able to effectively dialog with functional areas outside your specific area of expertise and background.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and an ability to effectively work with incomplete or imperfect data.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with a proven ability to organize complex information in a concise and compelling manner. Comfort in presenting key findings to leaders from various functional areas.
**Preferred Experience and Skills**:
- Statistical modelling using R or Python.
- Demonstrated expertise in utilizing information to analyze business performance, identifying opportunities and solving problems.
