At our global headquarters in Zurich we are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel for the Swiss group company SPS Switzerland AG. In this exciting role you will be responsible for the holistic legal advice of SPS Switzerland AG, in particular for the drafting and negotiation of a large number of commercial contracts, including data protection agreements. You report directly to the General Counsel. Self-starter mentality and customer orientation are formative components of our corporate culture.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Draft, review and negotiate customer contracts (especially outsourcing contracts), procurement, IT and license contracts as well as data protection agreements.
- Work closely with business counterparts to identify legal risks, develop proposals to mitigate those risks and coordinate business decisions.
- Educate business colleagues on SPS’ contract governance.
- Further development of the contract management system for the entire group and creation of policies.
- Support local functions (HR, Compliance, Finance, IT) in all legal matters of the group company.
- Coordination and central contact person for legal disputes of the group company.
- Liaise with and instruction of external lawyers.
- Support of global projects and thereby active contribution to the further development of the legal function of SPS.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Swiss bar admission is a must. Additional qualification such as LL.M. or equivalent international work experience is a plus.
- Three to five years of professional experience in the legal department of an internationally oriented group of companies with a focus on contract law, data protection, IT law.
- Knowledge of specific industry regulations for outsourcing services is a plus (e.g. FINMA Circular Outsourcing).
- Initiative personality (doer attitude) with negotiating skills and assertiveness.
- Committed and resilient, with the will to take on responsibility.
- Team spirit and motivated to develop the legal function.
- Fluency in German and English on a professional level is a prerequisite (incl. good drafting skills). French is a plus.
