Cognizant is looking for a creative and smart team player to join our Commercial Legal team in EMEA, with at least three years of post-qualification experience in an international law firm or an equivalent in-house position in a multinational corporation. This full-time **Legal Counsel (Commercial Transactions, Technology) **hybrid role is based in Zürich and offers a favourable salary and benefits.

You will be an integral part of the continued rapid growth of Cognizant’s European operations. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of business transactions, from consultancy contracts to multi-million-dollar complex technology or business outsourcing deals. Primarily these will be in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and other large markets in Continental Europe.

**In your first few weeks in this Legal Counsel (Commercial Transactions, Technology) role, you can expect to**:

- Interact with clients in a broad range of industries
- Work on all phases of deals, from proactive shaping, proposal/bid review stages, right through to final negotiation, escalation to senior Cognizant leadership and working on post-signature matters
- Get under the skin of the business and become part of the deal-making teams
- At least 5-6 years of post-qualification experience in an international law firm or an equivalent in-house position in a multinational corporation
- Full legal qualification in Switzerland with fully complated bar exam
- Specialized expertise in regulated industries such as insurance or financial services
