The World Economic Forum’s Centre for the New Economy and Society is the global platform for shaping prosperous, inclusive and equitable economies and societies that create opportunity for all. It provides leaders with an integrated hub to understand emerging socio-economic trends and to shape the future through new policies, practices and coalitions. It accelerates impact on five interconnected Missions: 1) Economic Growth and Transformation; 2) Work, Wages and Job Creation; 3) Education, Skills and Learning; 4) Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; and (5) Global Risks and Preparedness.

In addition, the Centre has two horizontal functions - (1) Community Engagement and (2) Impact Design and Coordination - that help the Centre achieve its objectives and deliver on its activities across its five thematic Mission areas.

The Impact Design and Coordination function designs, coordinates and communicates the Centre’s impact, insights and initiatives.

Reporting lines and interactions

The Impact Design Lead will be integrated with the Centre’s Impact Design and Coordination function and will work closely with thematic mission teams, navigating the Centre’s matrix organisational structure. They will report to the Centre’s Head of Impact Design and Coordination and collaborate closely with a relevant functional practice head and other teams.

Main responsibilities
- Lead the design of the Centre’s product portfolio, creating and refining scalable formats across the various types of activities carried out by the Centre, including peer communities and global, national and sectoral coalitions.
- Design methods for scoping new initiatives and areas of work to determine where the Forum and the Centre can add value
- Facilitate internal discussions, workshops and trainings to align approaches, surface learnings and continuously refine and adapt ways of working
- Develop impact frameworks for the Centre’s product portfolio and work with colleagues across the Centre to define KPIs
- Help coordinate the scale up of the Centre’s Accelerators, Consortia, Alliances and other initiatives across various geographies, industries and stakeholders
- Help coordinate and update the marketing documents and the digital infrastructure of the Centre’s initiatives (including CRM/Salesforce infrastructure and digital interaction spaces)
- Develop dashboards, tools and reporting mechanisms to help track results and impact and identify potential new areas of focus and improvements across the Centre’s portfolio
- On-going design and refinement of a coherent portfolio of product formats for the activities of the Centre
- Successful scop methods for new initiatives and areas of work and identification of new opportunities for the Centre
- On-going engagement of colleagues across the Centre in learning discussions and adoption of internal practices and ways of working
- Successful development and consistent adoption of KPIs and impact maps for all Centre’s activities
- Establishment of dashboards and reporting tools that are populated with relevant data
- Coherent and strategic growth of the Centre’s Accelerators, Consortia and Alliances and other initiatives
- Ability to navigate the complexity of a matrix organization and leverage synergies across functional competences and thematic content, within the Centre and broadly across the Forum.
- Close collaboration with Forum and Centre colleagues, developing ways forward that manage various interests.
- A solid understanding of international relations and an ability to understand the changing socio-economic context.

Preferred requirements and experience
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience in strategy and management consulting, international development or other relevant fields
- Strong presentation and communication skills (speaking, written and visual)
- Strong facilitation, listening, advisory skills, and strategic thinking
- Analytical skills, creativity and intellectual curiosity across a broad range of socio-economic issues
- High degree of digital literacy; previous experience working with Salesforce or other CRM software preferred
- Strong organizational skills, proactivity, self-management and ability to execute independently and in a team context.
- Fluency in English, with excellent written, digital and verbal communication skills.
