**What it's about**

For this position, we are looking for an investment funds lawyer in our Zug, Switzerland office focusing on commingled fund structures and separately managed accounts. Partners Group’s structuring team is responsible for developing innovative investment fund structures for institutional and private investors globally. Investment Fund Lawyers regularly interact with the firm’s client relationship management, investment and operations teams as well as with clients and external professionals. Representative projects include, for example, the design, formation and negotiation of customized separate accounts, the establishment of fund vehicles (limited partnerships and other investment funds) and the participation in marketing meetings.

**Responsibilities**:

- Efficiently manage complex structuring projects from an operational and project management aspect
- Lead client conversions for investments in traditional commingled funds (i.e., negotiate terms with client's counsel, draft side letters, etc.).
- Lead the design, formation and negotiation of customized separate accounts for leading international, institutional investors
- Draft and/or review documentation relating to a variety of fund structures
- Assume responsibility and ownership for select funds and separate accounts, including maintenance and related processes and procedures
- Develop set of skills and general Partners Group know-how, particularly relating to Structuring service catalogue and relevant interfaces with (operational) teams
- Research legal and regulatory considerations relevant to specific clients, products and jurisdictions
- Instruct and manage external legal advisors and other service providers

**What we expect**
- 1-3 years of post-qualification experience in a major law firm or financial institution, preferably with a focus on investment/asset management related work in the private markets industry
- Bar exam or equivalent postgraduate qualification
- Analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills; logical thinker; detail oriented; persistent
- Profound project management skills and desire to work on projects from the start to the effective (operational) implementation
- Good communication skills; in particular, must write clearly, concisely and persuasively
- Self-motivated and proactive individual with strong desire to learn and succeed
- Solid English skills, any additional language skills a plus
