The Catering Assistant at plays an essential role in supporting the catering team to deliver high-quality, fresh, and nutritious meals to students, staff, and guests. This role involves assisting with food preparation, serving, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen and dining areas. The Catering Assistant ensures that all meals meet the school’s standards for freshness, taste, and nutritional value.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Food Preparation**:
- Assist with the preparation of fresh ingredients under the guidance of the chefs.
- Prepare salads, sandwiches, and other cold items.
- **Service and Presentation**:
- Assist in setting up and serving food in the dining area.
- Ensure that food is presented in an appealing and appetizing manner.
- Replenish food items as necessary during meal service.
- **Cleaning and Sanitation**:
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Ensure all areas comply with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- **Support and Collaboration**:
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and catering team to ensure efficient operation.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, checking for quality and accuracy.
- Perform other related duties as required, such as setting up for special events and functions.
- **Health and Safety**:
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards.
- Participate in regular health and safety training sessions.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the Catering Manager or Head Chef.

Pay: CHF51’000.00 per year
