Job description:
We are looking for a Factory Digitalization Intern that is motivated to significantly contribute to the factory development of our site in Switzerland to further improve and maintain our competitiveness. This internship is starting as early as possible in 2023 for a duration of 6 to 12 months and will be based at our global headquarter in Baden, Switzerland.

Reporting to the Factory Digitalization Project Manager, you will support the team to bring our factory to the next level.

With the implementation of a manufacturing execution system (MES) in 2021 we laid the foundation to become a digital factory. With your high level of motivation, willingness to learn and your ability to collaborate in a dynamic team, you will gain first deep insights in the world of industry 4.0 and experience what it takes to successfully implement a digital transformation in manufacturing.

You will be part of the business unit Supply & Value Chain Excellence and gain valuable insights in the design and manufacturing of turbocharging solutions for engines above 500kW.

Your responsibilities:
- Connect multiple production machines to our MES System together with our digitalization team to extract business-critical information and data- Create dashboards and reports in collaboration with multiple stakeholders to significantly improve our monitoring and increase transparency of our production in operations- Derive actions and actively improve processes in collaboration with the digitalization and continuous improvement team- Support the Value Chain Digitalization team by taking over small subprojects and add value by bringing in your own new ideas

Your background:
- Master Student in a relevant engineering or IT discipline with a basic understanding of production processes, manufacturing technologies and digitalization- basic programming skills, first experiences with making and rolling out dashboards as well as outstanding analytical and conceptual skills- Interest in problem solving and interdisciplinary teamwork- Solution oriented, autonomous, and proactive working style. A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn- Fluency in English and German required
