Job description:
This internship, starting as early as possible in 2023 for a duration of 6 to 12 months, will be based at our global headquarter in Baden, Switzerland.

In this position, you will significantly contribute to the factory development of our site in Switzerland, with focus on our intralogistics processes and system landscape, to further improve and maintain our competitiveness.

Reporting to the Operational Excellence and Factory IT Project Managers, you will support the team to bring our factory to the next level.

With the implementation of a manufacturing execution system (MES) in 2021 we laid the foundation to become a digital factory. With your high level of motivation, willingness to learn and your ability to collaborate in a dynamic team, you will gain first deep insights in the world of industry 4.0 and experience what it takes to successfully implement a digital transformation in logistics.

You will be part of the business unit Supply & Value Chain Excellence and gain valuable insights in the value chain of turbocharging solutions for engines above 500kW.

Your responsibilities:
- Analyze the current intralogistics IT landscape (status-quo Analysis)- Support system projects and support for release changes- Contribute to definition of warehouse and logistics KPIs- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and their systems- Support Master data controlling and monitoring of operational order data- Add value by bringing in your own new ideas- Document results

Your background:
- Ongoing or recently completed master’s degree in a relevant field (Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer science...)- Strong understanding of production processes and digitalization topics. Basic knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus- Strong interest in value chain topics (inventory management, production planning, warehousing, intralogistics, operations...)- Ability to work with large datasets. Basic Programming and data analysis skills are required- Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills- Enthusiastic team player with good communication and collaboration skills- Solution oriented, autonomous, and proactive working style. A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn- Fluency in English and intermediate German (minimum B1 Level) skills required
