Business Controller Natural Foods

Play a dominant role in the financial & commercial reporting and analysis:
Monthly management analysis & reporting and safeguard the accuracy of the actual figures.
Analyze & discuss the management reporting (financials & KPI’s), incl. risks & opportunities together with account managers & general manager in order to create a better understanding of the results and to identify the reasons behind the figures as well as improvement opportunities.
Monitor the performance vs. the objectives in the strategic plan.
Make commercial analysis per product category, customer segment, channel for NF ID business.
Support the translation of customer agreements and commercial conditions into our SAP system.
Make necessary sales variance analysis (volume, price, mix) and discuss this with sales managers.
Analyze performance & identify optimizations (e.g. profitability, cost saving opportunities etc).
Control P&I investments incl. checking accuracy of bookings/invoices by aligning with other internal departments.
Drive processes in the financial planning cycle (incl. Budgeting & Forecasting):
Manage the yearly budget process for Natural Foods ID.
Support and coordinate the financial planning cycle together with the General Manager NF ID.
Drive and analyze sales and OPEX budgets in the yearly budget and LE process.
Review and analyze standard costs, including operational and efficiency standards.
Develop, manage & improve a permanent forecasting cycle for the Natural Foods ID.
Develop, manage and improve process of CPI with clear management reporting to calculate impact on total P&L and identify possible price gaps between realized prices vs budget.
Support in S&OP optimizations from a business controller perspective - i.e. flag potential scrapping costs, align with sales to find commercial solutions.
**Act as true business partner to the team**:
Support the team with information regarding ad-hoc business cases, such as NPD launches.
Implement & manage the COPA methodology within the team.
Make pre
- and post-analysis regarding commercial actions and potential business opportunities.
Make the necessary profitability analysis per customer, product, integrate marketing & promotional effort and advise on the most profitable margin mix between customers / products.
Identify improvements on overhead, both in cost and efficiencies.
Master’s degree in finance/economics/commercial engineering
Min. 1-2 years of experience in accounting/finance/controlling in medium to big size companies or an experience from the Big 4
Excellent knowledge of English
Very good knowledge of Excel and experience with SAP / COPA / BI is an advantage
