The intern will work between our Zürich and Renens' Offices.

**Job Description**:

- Gather, organize, and review site data.
- Verify data and documentation completeness and correctness.
- Prepare input data logs with available and missing data for site and energy yield assessment of solar and hybrid systems.
- Prepare guidelines, checklists, calculation sheets and report templates.
- Review and update information on solar technology trends and costs.
- Evaluate the suitability of potential sites for solar projects development using QGIS and/or other GIS tools.
- Prepare input datasheets with main techno-economic parameters for solar systems simulation in PVSyst, HelioScope and/or HomerPro.
- Support the preparation of feasibility studies and solar plants design.
- Translate, prepare, and review documentation (English - French).

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum Requirement: B.Sc. in Environmental Engineering, Natural Resources Management or Energy Engineering with advanced skills in Geographical Information Systems (GIS).
- Desired: finishing a M.Sc. in Solar Engineering, Energy Systems, Renewable Energy, or Environmental Engineering with focus on renewable energy.
- Fluent in English and French language. Knowledge of Spanish and/or Portuguese highly appreciated.
- Conceptual understanding of solar photovoltaic plants components, technology, energy yield assessment and design.
- Advanced QGIS skills or willingness to learn/improve.
- Advanced Excel skills. VBA not required but highly appreciated.
- Basic AutoCAD skills. AutoCAD Map, Civil 3D or Revit not required but highly appreciated.
- Data analysis skills including Python programming (can also be R or Excel/VBA).
- Knowledge of at least one of (and willingness to learn the others) PVSyst, NREL-SAM, HelioScope and HomerPro.
- Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) pvDesign and/or PVCAD.
- Knowledge of electrical systems not required but highly appreciated.
- Willingness to work in a multicultural environment, learn new challenging concepts and interest in renewable energy technology.
