**Client**:
A leading, innovative, modern bank with a strong presence in Switzerland.

**Position**:
As an ExCo member, you will supervise the Finance & Accounting team across Geneva and Zurich. You team of accountants are in charge of book-keeping, accounting, management reporting and corporate tax matters.

Responsibilities of you and the team to include but not limited to:

- Accounting, book-keeping (local Swiss GAAP) and financial controlling - entries, balance sheet, financial statements and consolidations

Taxation - VAT returns, liaison with external tax firm for specialist advice as regards direct and indirect returns

Regulatory watch & compliance - evaluation of regulatory compliance as regards new products and internal projects, monitor regulatory developments and validate amendments to processes and procedures

Relationships with external counterparties on financial regulatory + tax matters and liaison with external audit firms and tax authorities

Overseeing statistics and regulatory reporting to the SNB And FINMA

Implementation and optimisation of accounting tools (FiRE, Apsys etc)

You will partner with technology, data and operations on project-related matters as well as periodic feedback on work performance of your team members and preparing written appraisals

Participation in the audit and risk committee

**Profile**:

- Minimum 5 years+ relevant experience in a similar role within a financial institution, combined with a sound knowledge of banking operations and processes

Professional accounting qualification

Proven people management skills

Used to working in a small to medium-sized bank or financial institution

Good knowledge of local accounting rules applicable to financial institutions and the relevant regulatory framework (SNB, FINMA etc)

Confirmed experience of consolidation techniques

Good basic knowledge as a minimum of direct and indirect tax rules in Switzerland

Comfortable in the use of digital tools as well as automation tools + banking information systems

A proactive, agile person, with a strong personal presentation and able to take initiatives

A hands-on attitude, used to a broad role where you are used to reviewing and transforming processes

Results-oriented, entrepreneurial and metrics driven

Used to a fast pace, long hours and a demanding environment

Excellent communication and analytical skills and able to manage expectations of internal and external stakeholders

A strong sense of ethics, integrity and dependability

Fluent in French and English; German a plus but not a must

Swiss domicile preferred but not a must; already based in the local area with valid Swiss passport, work permit or equivalent
