You are responsible for the Microbial Master Cell Banking (MCB) production facility, the MCB processes and the MCB team. You make sure that the MCB generation, characterization and storage follow the required quality. Responsible for delivery of the cell banks in time, closely aligned with the Microbial manufacturing schedule. This position requires in-depth understanding of the regulatory landscape and the impact of regulatory changes on the MCB process.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the organization, technical assessment and prioritization of the operational master cell banking activities to support process development and production.
- Coordinates the various projects within MCB with the support of the project leader, the scientists and the technicians.
- Plans resources in alignment with other organizations like strain and process development and production.
- Manages a team of technical experts, scientists and lab technicians.
- Technically evaluates and assesses new MCB projects.
- Represents MCB during customer and regulatory authority audits.
- Drives the operational and equipment readiness.
- Ensures compliance with current safety and quality requirements.

**Key requirements**:

- Excellent understanding of concepts and principles of microbial MCB process and quality requirements (cGMP).
- Recognized strong management and leadership skills.
- Developed communication skills, ability to negotiate internally and represent MCB during customer and authority audits
- Written and oral communication in English and German.
