The site in Visp is growing and for Ibex Solutions, our recently launched unique biological manufacturing and development concept in Visp, Switzerland, we are currently looking for Head of Microbial Manufacturing Optimization and Strategy who is responsible to deliver financial benefits from an operations perspective in driving productivity improvement projects which will lower operations cost and/or improve production output volume resulting in an increased gross profit of the asset/site. He/she directs and manages 2 teams members on different Microbial Assets Process Optimization

**Key responsibilities**:

- He/She will be accountable to identify both short and mid-term optimization potentials, build business cases and execute the identified optimizations projects to improve the company’s gross profit generation. These activities include the optimization of existing manufacturing processes, scale-up, technology transfer and implementation for all next generation processes & technologies as well as the technical support of our global tolling manufacturers. In this role, he/she will lead the Operational Excellence topics and use these as levers to achieve his goals.
- Overseeing all productivity improvement projects implementation, status and monthly saving report.
- Support the Head of Microbial Ops to develop and implement the mid
- and long-term strategy: yearly X-matrix in collaboration with OE, roadmap, Site Master Plan
- Manage the overall governance of the Visp Biologics Ops LT (Hoshin process, Councils, performance reviews)
- Identify issues and challenges early on and able to handle them with care and empathyOwns business strategy on FTE and hiring plans based on guidance and input by Head of Ops

**Key requirements**:

- Master or PhD degree in Biotechnology or other relevant areas
- Extensive experience in a leading a large Biopharma / Microbial manufacturing organization, minimum 10 years in leadership role
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
- In depth knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing of large molecules, recognized expert in the area of GMP, safe work environment leadership, delivery of RFT, and leadership and development of leadership teams delivering progressive continuous improvement in a multi-layered organization
- As the ultimate face of Lonza to Microbial customers, ability to positively connect and build trustful relationships in a manner that these external individuals are excited and inspired.
- Strong understanding of evolving technologies that would be relevant to the Ibex site.
- Fluent in English, German will be an advantage
