Finance Lead, Business Performance Analysis

**About** the role**:

- Deliver performance objectives in line with Takeda’s PTRB priorities and drive change initiatives to achieve these.
- Partners with the business and all GSM sites as a trusted advisor utilising finance acumen, functional expertise, design thinking, and enterprise mindset.
- Builds a deep understanding of the business and works with a continuous improvement approach in seeking efficiencies, which are sustainable and within the internal controls framework.
- Supports combining the overall company strategy and OpU financial plans, monitoring performance, and actively engaging and challenging the business. Articulating accurate and transparent storylines for Opu and total GMS leadership.
- Acts as a connector, gateway and solution architect for Global sites, liaising with other functional counterparts (TBS, P&R, Global Costing, Supply chain) in addressing opportunities and issues proactively and collaboratively.

**How you will contribute**:

- Overall responsibility for Global Small Molecules OpU performance consolidation and lead for GSM Site reviews, actively asks questions and provokes discussion until having a full level of comfort with the region OpU and site financials. Communicating and presenting to senior management with an emphasis on forward-looking projections.
- Prepare summary of financial business drivers and messages, as well as presentation materials for OpU Finance Head and Leadership Team to ensure visibility of financial results and understanding of drivers.
- Supports the planning process for yearly Plan, Mid-year commitment (MYC), and long-range plans, in alignment with the company-wide process in collaboration with the business planning lead.
- Drive productivity across European sites through eAGILE initiatives, and ensure that resource planning is in line with demand, keeping a patient focus at all times.
- OpU above-site cost management including detailed resource and OPEX planning and control in collaboration with OpU leadership.
- Extend relationship with Global CAPEX team in support of both local and global finance teams. Improved allocation of CAPEX spending versus current maintenance spending.
- Collaborate across the GMS Region and OpU to align and share best-in-class learnings and demonstrate the significant benefits they offer in order to strive for globally standardised processes.
- Lead the mission of business partnering by providing coaching and mentoring to local finance teams. Eliminate non-value adding activities in preparation for TBS transfer.
- Excellent at basic analytics, providing insights and interpretations, proposing ad-hoc investigations and action plans.
- Ensures financial policies and procedures are compliant with local laws and regulations as well as being compliant with Takeda SOP’s.

**_ DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS _**

**Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise**
- Minimum 8 years experience as manufacturing Site Finance Head in the pharmaceutical industry, leading a finance team.
- Experience in Japanese and Western business practices.
- Affinity to Japanese culture and language strongly preferred.
- Business and Finance acumen with the ability to teach others.
- Extensive finance expertise and experience to ensure financial compliance (SOX).
- Extensive planning and reporting experience at all levels.

**Skills and Leadership Capabilities**
- Strong business partnering and leadership skills with the ability to challenge performance, drive robust business decisions through sound financial analysis, questioning and problem-solving mindset, engage and influences skills on senior leader level.
- Demonstrate leadership across functional teams/sites and ability to drive finance excellence

- Strong strategic and analytical skills, able to simplify complex information to provide the business with relevant analyses to support effective decision-making.

- Strong change management skills, able to effectively communicate and actively listen to support the sites embracing change through the ability to persuade and influence others.

Global Small Molecules.
- Support for the coordination and support of MRP/MYC planning cycles.
