**Job information**:
Start Date: 1 September 2023
Duration of Contract: one year, renewable twice for two years. This makes a total duration of five years maximum.
Activity Rate: 80%

**Your responsibilities**:

- 50% minimum: doctoral research towards the completion of a PhD thesis in early modern English theater.
- 50% maximum: teaching and administration.

The appointee will be expected to:

- Produce a PhD thesis on early modern English theater.
- Teach first-year and/or second year courses (2h/semester) in English Literature.
- Contribute to administrative tasks and participate in the life of the department and faculty.

**Your qualifications**:
The ability to work both independently and in collaborative environments in essential. An interest in teaching, and/or some teaching experience, will be considered a plus.
Fluency in French is not a requirement for this post, but the ability to communicate effectively in the language may nevertheless be considered a strength.
