Abbott Established Pharmaceuticals (EPD) is looking for a
**Finance Manager**
**Primary Job Function**:
The primary objectives of this position are to provide financial support and financial transparency for EPD’s senior management and Corporate FP&A team and to guarantee financial integrity of EPD’s intangible long-term assets. This mainly includes monitoring, reporting and forecasting of currencies fluctuations impacts and animation of periodic Intangible impairment assessment.
This function requires a profound understanding of EPD Supply Chain and potential impact of exchange rates fluctuation (translational and transactional accounts).
**Core Job Responsibilities**:
- Consolidate and review exchange forecasting submissions for both P&L and Balance Sheet statements, including yearly Plans, quarterly LBE’s & confirmation as per deadlines.
- Monitor monthly exchange variances vs prior submissions benchmarks and Roll-out corrective actions whenever required.
- Lead monthly exchange Reporting process (P&L and B/S) with Corporate FP&A.
- Prepare exchange impact analysis on revenue, expenses and working capital and precisely forecast EPD’s Net Earnings (EPS) and Operating Cash Flows by modeling exchange rates variations (flexes).
- Animate quarterly Intangible impairment assessment process and review them before submission to Corporate & external audit.
- Coordinate accounting and impairment of EPD intangible assets whenever required.
**Minimum Education**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent
- Master’s degree (or comparable degree) would be preferred
**Minimum Experience/Training Required**:
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, general accounting and or financial reporting
- Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry would be an asset
- Experience at the international level with multiple currencies exposures would be preferred
**Competencies/Attributes**:
- Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to details
- Good presentation skills
- Currency management, exchange impact / flexes
- Accounting treatment of Intangible assets
- Ethical behaviour, keep integrity of assets and records. Alert senior management in case of deviations
- Result-driven, like hands-on work, pragmatic
- Experience in a fast-paced work environment with frequent deadlines; ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
- Critical thinking
- Forecasting accuracy
- Proficient Excel knowledge and good numerical reasoning
- Excellent command of English is mandatory, any other languages would be an asset
- Willingness to work in an international environment
