Finance Business Manager

Proclinical is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our clients team as a **Finance Business Manager**. This is a **6 month contract** with the possibility of extension.

This role serves as the Finance Business Manager for the site, overseeing product costing throughout all stages of manufacturing. The incumbent will develop a deep understanding of commercial manufacturing processes, exhibit curiosity about the pharmaceutical industry, collaborate effectively to solve complex business challenges, and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning.

As a key partner, this role plays a decisive role in all cost calculation operations for the site's products. Responsibilities include managing the annual cost change process, conducting regular cost maintenance activities, and ensuring accurate unit price calculations in alignment with company policies and practices.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead, coordinate, and drive all financial planning and analysis activities related to product costing, validating and presenting production costs as part of month-end close.
- Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of how site operations and financial aspects impact the product costing process.
- Conduct financial analyses and scenarios to assess the impact on product cost calculations, contributing to innovative solutions for achieving financial objectives.
- Serve as a liaison between the site and global product costing teams.
- Review monthly reports on production cost variances, providing strategic analysis and proposals to operational units.
- Participate in factory planning processes for production cost variance estimation and inventory management.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to determine product costs, fostering teamwork and flexibility in a cross-functional environment.
- Coordinate with Engineering on CAPEX matters, demonstrating expertise in fixed asset financial management.
- Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with SOX controls and providing audit support.
- Fulfill other ad-hoc requests as needed.

**Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CMA, CPA, Masters in Finance, or MBA preferred.
- Experience in Pharmaceutical/Biotech Industry, with exposure to cost accounting, manufacturing, and/or supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in scenario planning and predictive analytics-driven forecasting.
- Minimum of 7 years of accounting/finance experience, with a strong focus on cost accounting.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams within a large organization.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of handling large datasets.
- Proficiency in SAP, TM1, JDE, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, with good proficiency in French.

**Job Types**: 100%, Temporary / Staffing

**Salary**: CHF70.00 - CHF100.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
