- Staefa, SwitzerlandPractical Trainee / Internship Biological Safety- Biocompatibility testing of medical devices ensures their safety and compatibility for use in humans without causing harmful effects. Cytotoxicity testing plays a crucial role in evaluating the potential toxicity of used materials by assessing their impact on cellular health and viability. You will be contributing to the biological evaluation of hearing aids and their components with the main focus on cytotoxicity. We are looking for an intern for an assignment of 6 months.**Your tasks**
- Development of internal test strategy
- Responsibility for the conduct of the tests
- Supplementing the study with chemical characterization of materials or components
- Responsible for sound documentation of the test items and the study results
- Collaboration with external test institutions

**Your profile**
- Bachelor or Master study of materials science, chemistry, biomedical engineering, biology or related field.
- Basic understanding of materials (e.g. polymers, coatings) and interest in biological test methods.
- Experienced in laboratory work
- Experienced with writing scientific and project reports.
- Independent, performance-oriented, and responsible way of working
- Team-oriented, communicative, and resilient personality
- Quick comprehension and initiative
- Good command of written and spoken English.
