ADM has been undergoing one of the most significant transformations in its 120-year history to become a global leader in human and animal nutrition, and the world’s premier agricultural origination and processing company.
- ADM’s EMEA Communications Managers advance the company’s business priorities by ensuring that external stakeholders understand our purpose, strategy and commitments.
- The EMEA Communications Manager will manage day-to-day media relations activities in EMEA alongside our agency partners and the global communications team, focusing especially on topics such as sustainability and health & wellbeing. This individual will lead crisis and issues management efforts. This position is also key in connecting the external communications activities to the internal communications and social media EMEA teams.-

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with senior business leaders to identify and address strategic communications needs associated with business strategy, priorities and initiatives.
- Coordinate responses and interviews for general and business media
- Build relationships with key reporters
- Develop and execute crisis and issues management plans
- Manage and staff on-site interviews and media events
- Assist in development and execution of proactive media relations plans around announcements, speaking engagements and thought leadership activities
- Provide day-to-day PR agency management
- Coordinate daily media relations activities with agency partners and global communications team members
- Provide in-house media training to executives as needed
- Lead EMEA’s media monitoring, reporting and measurement efforts
- Prepare briefings, presentations, webcasts for EMEA headquarters’ events as required.

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience Desired**:

- 5-8 years of media relations experience, including crisis communications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven success in leadership engagement and influence in a corporate environment, as well as deep understanding of communications channels including traditional media, social media and stakeholder management
- Experience managing sustainability communications
- Consistent and exacting attention to detail
- Quick, agile and calm problem-solving skills
- Comfortable balancing urgent needs and deadlines with ongoing priorities
- Experience managing approvals in a matrix environment
- Ability to travel as needed
- English language fluency required; German is a plus

**Education**:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or related field of study required
- Major in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or related field preferred
