**For our Zurich Headquarters we are looking for a**

**Earned / Owned Media & Corporate Communication Manager (100%)**

The Head of Earned Media & Corporate Communications will serve in a key role setting the earned media strategy and execution for the brands, designed, and executing earned media plans and strategies that advance the ELC and Brands’ priorities and strategic goals. They also oversee corporate communication to ensure positive presence and reputation of the company in the external market as well as ensuring internal engagement. They will use limited resources to obtain the best possible coverage in top-tier and trade media and build relationships with stakeholders and influencers/brand ambassadors, driving strong content and campaign results. The position entails identifying, building and managing media relationships, while anticipating, preparing for, and managing media issues - thinking beyond traditional media channels to help Brands create strong digital and social content and communications.

**What awaits you**:
**EARNED MEDIA**
- Identify opportunities for reputation building in the market, including strengthening stakeholder relationships (press, consumer groups)
- Provide the corporate influencer strategy across all brands
- Lead the execution of the earned media plans for selected brands
- Provide guidance, inspiration, and expertise for Brand teams to enhance their social media content and community management
- Drive the creation, collection and use of User Generated Content to enhance the brands in the local market
- Identify and maintain relationships with Brand Ambassadors with a long-term focus on brand-building
- Set the strategy and ensures best practice execution of micro-influencer activity in the local market (e.g. counter social media)
- Manage media relations, preparing statements, Q&As, press materials

**CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS**
- Determine a strategic internal / external and crisis communications programs and plans for the General Manager
- Proactive identification and escalation of issues affecting the market
- Provide guidance and local expertise on the regulatory space, consumer activism, social media trends/issues affecting the affiliate.
- Flag issues affecting brands locally to the regional offices (e.g. social media issues, animal testing, veganism, ingredient transparency, geopolitical issues)
- Collaborate with the region on company culture development, strategy deployment, corporate initiatives and sharing key messages from the region, Global Corporate Affairs, Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability and other parts of the business
- Lead the Breast Cancer Campaign for the whole affiliate
- Responsible for the internal ELC Good Works platform (Donation & Volunteerism initiative)
- Support ELC community activities in the affiliate (e.g. Inclusion & Diversity), in coordination with the region and global
- Coordinates with EMEA regional teams to 1) deploy key messages from the region/global 2) strategize on emerging issues / opportunities locally and regionally and 3) share Corporate Communications best practices across affiliates

**Qualifications** What you bring**:

- 10 years of professional experience in communications in a Corporate or Agency environment
- Experienced leader and manager, who can encourage and bring together a team around a shared vision
- Excellent knowledge of Swiss media (print, online, TV) & influencer landscape and history of working collaboratively with the news media to achieve accurate and appropriate coverage in line with business objectives
- Proven track record in internal and external communications, strategy development, digital, crisis management, product & change communications
- Keeps a keen eye out over the environment for evolving issues and opportunities and continuously supervises the risk landscape to ensure consistency and impact
- Good judgment and the capacity to accurately assess complicated situations. Likewise, an ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity
- Innovative and assertive person, who can work efficiently in cross-functional teams. Your negotiation ability, analytical skills and strategic thinking enable you to achieve performance and to federate others towards your ideas
- The ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels across a complex organization as well as with partner organizations
- Strong communication, presentation, and networking skills
- Exceptional writing, editing, proof-reading and oral communication skills that is clear, concise, and persuasive
- Fluency in both German and English is a must; French is an advantage
