QLS are recruiting for a Scientist Technical Development to join a Global Pharmaceutical company based in Basel on a contract basis for one year.

Start Date: 1st September (ideally)

**Responsibilities**:

- Design, plan, perform, interpret and report results of scientific experiments for the preparation and timely delivery of drug substances (DS), drug products (DP), processes and procedures within a multifunctional project team coordinated by a Project Leader.
- Manage technical lab/plant activities.
- Management Track Lead a team for the development of pharmaceutical/biological/cell-gene therapies working in a small manufacturing plant environment.
- Execute the functional strategy and drive operational excellence in line with TRD vision and strategy. Ensure full portfolio support in line with GDD, Sandoz, NTO and NIBR plans.
- Support drug product formulation development and manufacturing activities at internal or external manufacturing sites for assigned projects inline with the project plan, guidelines and procedures
- Collaborate with operational colleagues working on your process at the respective manufacturing sites
- Take accountability for formulation and manufacturing process deliverables incl. GMPrelated aspects and change control
- Author manufacturing instructions for clinical manufacturing campaigns, compile data and interpret results, evaluate data, draw relevant conclusions and contribute to development reports and Quality risk assessment documents in close collaboration with the project teams
- Perform document reviews and data integrity checks against raw data

**Requirements**:

- Master degree or higher in life sciences, ideally in the Pharmaceutical field
- Ideally morethan 5 years industrial experience in the development and / or clinical manufacturing of pharmaceutical formulations for small molecules and with experience in late phase development and launch activities.
- Experience in ocular or parenteral development preferable.
- Interdisciplinary thinking and interest in collaboration with other functions
- Good knowledge of GMP and GLP
- Good knowledge of ocular and/or parenteral dosage form technologies and laboratory and/or technical tools
- Good collaboration skills and team spirit enabling you to work in a matrix environment, good communication and negotiation skills
- Fluent in English (oral and written), German is an advantage.
