**What you’ll do**

In this role you will lead the team to meet or exceed established sales forecasts and call execution goals and work with individual sales reps and KAMs to establish appropriate and challenging goals for each territory. You will proactively anticipate and address obstacles that may impede results and assess individual and team progress toward goals, and coach to improve. You will develop sales reps and KAMs to enhance skills and advance to higher career level (including talent identification) as well as comply with all regulations regarding interactions with healthcare professionals, etc.

**Other responsibilities will include**:

- Build a winning team
- Seek to transform patient care through excellence in the delivery of the patient centric selling model.
- Drive accountability for individual territory performance of team/individuals and empower them.
- Demand that individuals are accountable for their own territory, knowledge of and utilisation of their performance data and their operational plans.
- Run regular ‘priority account’ meetings to ensure that the teams demonstrate accountability for their goals and results.
- Regularly review the team structure and deployment to flex it to meet emerging business priorities.
- Regularly travel with each team member to coach them on their in-call performance, is an exemplar of best practice for in-call adherence to the patient centric selling model.
- Regularly review and evolve the segmentation and targeting to ensure that it is built on objective data and deliver the best outcome for the time invested in field, calling to the right customers with the right frequency.
- Be an active participant in the evolution of our customer engagement model towards an omni-channel approach.
- Be a champion of digital marketing and sales initiatives and understand the value of same.
- Constantly review data offerings to identify data and tools that can further enhance our insights, targeting and messaging.
- Accountable for national budget management and distribution according to territory performance and potential.
- Customer facing and accountable for business to business selling with key regional stakeholders.
- Supports team with advocacy development and mobilisation of key stakeholders.
- Ensures teams compliance with AZ Governance framework and Code of Practice.
- Responsible for the implementation of regional account plans, monitoring impact of resources and effect.
- Monitors both national and regional sales data/trends to course correct, if required.
- Fosters a cross functional collaborative culture that prioritises the “we”.
- Strives to champion a culture of continuous learning, improvement and operational excellence.
- Deploys appropriate reward and recognition to establish, develop and sustain high performance and engagement.
- Ensures all team members have an active Individual Development Plan (IDP) and prioritises talent management.

**Essential for the role**
- Previous coaching/sales experience in pharmaceutical industry
- Excellent selling and influencing skills
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, financial and analytical skills, written and oral communication skills
- Full driving licence
- Self-starter, problem solver, accountable for own actions and results
- Good command of English, German and French

**Desirable for the role**
- Respiratory and primary care experience
- Previous management/coaching experience
- Previous exposure and/or experience in other functional areas of the business
