**Property Treaty Underwriter**:
New Reinsurance Company Ltd. (NewRe) is a Swiss reinsurer, founded in Zurich in 1926. In 1988, NewRe became part of Munich Re Group. You will join the Property Treaty Underwriting team as one of twelve underwriters and actuaries responsible for a book of European property treaty business. The team takes pride in a collaborative and flexible work mode that is based on trust, dedication and mutual support. Once onboarded, you will quickly take over account responsibility across the UK / Nordic markets with the support of your NewRe colleagues. This comprises of technical pricing and contract analysis as well as internal and external stakeholder management.

**Your responsibilities**:
Underwriting of European property treaty reinsurance business with focus on the Nordic and UK / London markets with main tasks being:

- Taking over responsibility for and managing an existing book of property treaty business in a highly collaborative set-up
- Pricing, modelling and risk assessment of new and existing treaty programs
- Negotiating reinsurance transactions including contract documentation and wording
- Managing client and broker relationships and participate in origination activities to develop new business
- Contribute to developing and defining market and client strategies
- Managing necessary information exchange with internal stakeholders such as Actuaries, Claims, Accounting and Risk Management
- Actively participating in NewRe specific and/or Group projects

**Your profile**:

- Experience: up to 3 years of relevant professional work experience e.g. from the reinsurance / insurance sector
- Skills: “Allrounder” with strong analytical skills, team player and good communications skills, proactive and self-going, ability to work in an international environment
- Knowledge: IT literate and proficient user of Microsoft Office (especially Excel), know-how about natural hazards and/or Natural Catastrophe Modelling (tools) would be a plus
- Language: Excellent command of English, any other European language would be considered an asset
- Willingness to travel in Europe (5-10% of time)
