THE POSITION

**Background**

The Roche Pharma vision has the ambition to**_ deliver 3-5 times more medical advances at half the cost to society_**. In response we, in PT defined our strategic response - how we need to perform to deliver - defined by our ambitious North Star Performance Promise and the Network of the Future.

Our Strategy Team is accountable for the definition of our Network of the Future Design and the plan for execution. Through leadership and partnerships, the organization ensures execution of Roche enterprise strategy by developing and managing a portfolio and network view.

Roche’s network includes multiple platforms increasing in breadth and complexity. We are evolving from a largely Biologic network designed for large volume products to a more agile multi-platform network required to deliver both large volume and very personalized medicine.

**Purpose**:
This position is an enterprise level role connecting across the organization including development, supply chain strategy, Global Product Strategy, our manufacturing network, and commercial affiliates. This group provides a unique view to the full industrialization and commercialization of our portfolio. This leader is a key member of the Strategy Leadership team reporting into head of Pharma Tech Ops head of strategy and interacting with teams and leaders across PT.

We are evolving as an organization with a target to increase our business impact across the full lifecycle of portfolio including speed to market, robustness and efficiency of supply to maximize value as our products move across the full lifecycle.
This organization drives a strategic operating model, which gathers long-range data, insights, and strategic objectives from across the company and assimilating and defining key business insights. The outcome of this process shapes the vision of the Network of the Future design, which defining our targeted configuration, capability and capacity needs to deliver the pipeline.

This is translated into a roadmap of key inflection decisions, investments, network changes and capability requirements which all inform key trade-offs and priorities. This role will ensure the execution of our Network Changes globally.

**Responsibilities**

Leader will own the accountability of the E2E Network Strategy for the organization and is responsible for driving the annual Strategy Operating Model.

This will include the ownership of the Long Range Plan, developing scenarios and supporting Product Sourcing across the business.In this role they will lead of team who partner across the Manufacturing Units, Global commercial, and Product Development.
Accountabilities include:
Ownership for shaping the future vision of the network strategy with a clear roadmap for delivery (both internal and external networks). This includes ownership of our Strategic Principles for PT - Annual Long Range Planning process, supporting probabilistic modeling, creating a network roadmap for the E2E supply chain Define the product allocation across the network to provide guidance for product sourcing Connecting across the organization to support introduction of innovation, advanced manufacturing technologies, new platforms etc. Own the shaping and management of the PTLT Strategy Forum - fostering the focus on the Key Strategic Questions within the Organization Own the Product Sourcing governance process through the Product Network Committee. Defining key inputs for the Strategic Workforce planning including input on configuration, capacity and capability Synthesize all product strategies from each Product Book into a portfolio level vision Facilitate setting aspirational product lifecycle targets in partnership with commercial, manufacturing and supply chain teams Systematically bring external insights, trends, and benchmarks to stretch performance across the product strategy teams, enhancing the long term performance of the business Strategically manage portfolio level end-to-end risk, ensuring the robustness and resiliency of the supply chain

Lead Strategy Execution Group across three sites (Mississauga, SSF and Basel) Accountabilities Include:
Global accountability for management for developing, planning and executing the objectives of the Product Strategic Plan. This would include product launches, technical transfers, and product health initiatives. Leading teams who will be core members of the Technical Product Team (TPT) responsible for managing the timelines, resources, risks, and escalation of issues. Set prioritization of resources to ensure alignment with PT strategy.

**Qualifications**
- At least 20 years’ experience in biotech, pharmaceuticals, medical device, diagnostic, commercial, management consulting or other related industry
- Senior Operational (Site Head) experience is preferred.
- Minimal 6 years experience in pharma end to end supply chain management will a strong enterprise accountability
- Strong strategic thinking, as well as quantitativ
