Lab Operations Project Manager

Due to ongoing growth, our client in Zurich is currently recruiting for a **Lab Operations Project Manager.**

Ideal team members are adaptable and resilient, eager to approach operational tasks with curiosity and tenacity, and able to find ways to support cross functional teams.

This will be a 12 month position with possibility for extension.

**Duties**:

- Host and facilitate the TaSR (Tool and Space Request) program, review all requests with the committee, drive discussions and escalate issues through the proper channels.
- Manage and coordinate tasks and projects for lab operations requests within technical spaces.
- Support relevant labs stakeholders requests about new equipment to be installed.
- Review labs needs with the labs coordinator and organize, plan, update and remove or recycle old projects.
- Collaborate with EHS Manager for any aspect related to equipment or labs.
- Support for lab stakeholders to maintain lab equipment, physical space and equipment within the lab area as defined by the lab responsible or labs coordinator.
- Assist with scheduled preventive maintenance and/or respond to urgent maintenance calls.
- Ensure equipment data is entered into the Global Asset Management system, and ensure installed equipment has an associated asset tag.
- Interface with the Global Asset Management program manager to ensure certification, maintenance, and/or calibration data is properly configured in the computerized maintenance management system.
- Work with third party vendors to manage special projects, lab renovations, buildouts and updates.
- Review furniture needs with lab users and labs coordinator.
- Support for onsite and offsite storage coordination of logistic activities.
- Support for Labs Operations Manager on space planning and new space development. Collaborate with stakeholders to help facilitate lab requests and projects, work on requests, oversee and follow through until completed.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure labs will meet requirements.
**Background**:

- Technical or engineering background with 3+ years of experience.
- High level of autonomy and proactivity in the daily job, interest in technology.
- Enthusiasm for both manual and coordination tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to present your message to a wide range of audiences ex: engineers, designers, programmers, operations, visitors.
- Previous project management experience is an advantage.
