**The opportunity**:
Data is at the core of our Group’s digital transformation. Our data strategy specifies the steps towards our goal of taking a leadership position in building trust in how global companies use data and technology for good.
We are looking for a seasoned, visionary Data & Analytics Executive Portfolio Director who possesses the passion and experience to take a leading role within Zurich’s Data & Business Intelligence department (hereafter referred as DBI) as Head of DBI Engagement Hub. You are part of the DBI senior leadership team and report directly to the Group Chief Data Officer.
You will lead our multidisciplinary ‘DBI Engagement Hub team’ which serves as end-to-end engagement partner for our internal customers & manage our portfolio of data solutions across data products, projects & service requests. The setup as ONE team enables us to speak with ONE voice to our internal customers - group functions and business units around the world - across the solution lifecycle.
This role is available full time.
**Key Responsibilities**:
You will take a key role in our digital transformation redefining the way we work, rethinking and advancing our data solutions and enterprise platforms.
- Ensure prioritization across the DBI use case portfolio in line with strategic business priorities and our KPI framework, to maintain a DBI solution pipeline consisting of high value projects AND products. Responsible for taking final decisions for portfolio prioritization
- Promote and drive the reuse of proven data solutions across our company
- Lead the diverse DBI Engagement Hub Team consisting of Business Engagement Managers (end-to-end business liaison across the solution life cycle), Project managers, Scrum masters, Product Owners, and Service Management team. Be a role model for connecting the dots, collaboration and relationship building across cultures and mentalities. Inspire our people with vision and a “get things done” spirit
- Lead our Oversee coordination of people resources across the solution lifecycle (for data projects and products), working closely with our DBI Studio Team which designs, builds and operates our data solutions
- Liaise with senior stakeholders, ensuring that their interests, requirements and feedback are considered echoed when creating and prioritizing solutions in our DBI portfolio
- Act as key enabler and foundation for effective group wide solution portfolio management, bring in innovation and steer the development of best practices. Make Zurich and our people proud ahead of or in the minimum keeps up with the competition and bring trends in portfolio/project/product management to Zurich where appropriate
- Oversight & reporting Manage team performance against our customer-oriented and ambitious value creation, quality -, productivity - and speed KPI’s
**Your skills and experience**:
- Data & analytics is your passion and ikigai
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Technology, Physics, Engineering or related field with further education in data & analytics
- 10+ years of experience in the field of Portfolio and Project Management in an international corporate environment, of which minimum 6 years in a data & analytics function
- 6+ years of experience in leading diverse teams of 50-80 people across multiple locations
- Proven track record and convincing expertise in creating data & analytics solutions across BI and AI Blend strategic thinking, operational execution and portfolio management
- Strategic thinking with equally effective execution planning, judgement, and an agile iterative mindset
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, including the ability to articulate complex issues and to gain the support from internal and external and executive stakeholders
- Proven track record of bringing together business and technical stakeholders in designing and bringing to life scalable, sustainable data solutions
- Strong analytical, structured and interdisciplinary way of thinking and working
